Student Reviews

"Professor Amrov is highly knowledgeable about the subject matter and is always open to questions and discussions. I like that the classes are not just lectures, she also incorporates interviews, guest lectures, and videos. I personally find that this widens my understanding of geography."

GGR320 -Transnationalism, Migration and Gender

"Professor Amrov is an exceptional instructor. Professor Amrov lectures are interesting and engage in a variety of topics with the subject matter. She ensures that students understand the course material by making time in class for discussions and forcing students to do written responses at the end of class, so she can be aware if there is any confusion surrounding a topic that needs to be addressed. Additionally, professor Amrov is very approachable, which makes it easier for students to ask for help if needed."

GGR320 -- Transnationalism, Migration and Gender

"She was a great teacher and knew a lot about what she was talking about. She highly encouraged participation and enthusiasm towards the course and invited us to think outside the scope of the course. She was a great professor, however, perhaps due to the fact that this 3rd year level was an elective to me as I am not a GGR student, it was quite difficult to keep up with what we were learning and how we were expected to apply it in a practical setting. Other than this, she was very supportive and always offered help, she was a very good professor."
